When Pets Act Like Children

TJ Puts On the Brakes
by Jodi McLean

TJ

Pet owners who don’t have human kids tend to say “my pets are my children.”  In this case, my dog actually acts like a child!

I don’t know if this is generally funny, or just extremely entertaining to me and my family.  Our dog TJ has such an expressive personality!  He’s like a kid with a lot of emotion.  When he goes to Dad & Brenda’s house, he loves it so much he doesn’t want to leave.  They have a big back yard overlooking a lake with lovely breezes and plenty of room to run and things to chase.   Usually, TJ LOVES to “go for a ride!”   But when it’s time to leave Grandma & Grandpa’s house, we can’t get him in the car.  We decided that we should record it.  Dad & Brenda get a big kick out of his antics.

Moms & Dads of human children – do your kids do this when it’s time to leave Grandma & Grandpa camp?   (Minus the leash.)

hee hee… Daisy does the same thing to me… but only it’s EVERY place we go… Nana’s house, the dog park, the VET. I mean seriously, what dog prefers the vet to her owner?

Very sweet. TJ is adorable – he may be looking for his gift from your cruise before agreeing to go home.
