Tomorrow is my nose surgery.  I am having my deviated septum and swollen turbinates corrected so I can breathe like a normal person.  I’m excited and not-at-all apprehensive.  Surgery doesn’t scare me; it’s like a long, earned vacation.  You sleep lots, watch TV and drift off if you want, your family takes care of you and you catch up on reading with not a shred of guilt about other things you could and should be doing.  Aside from the ocean view, sounds a lot like vacation to me!

When I return, I may be wearing what I will refer to as a “nose bra” – or maybe not.  Won’t know until after the surgery is done.  I may also have my nose stuffed with gauze for several days - hope not, but probably.  I don’t know how long it will have to stay up there, but I will probably be talking all funny for awhile.  I’ll share photos of my fabulous nose-bra/stuffed sinus look!  I’m sure I will be stunning.  Stunning can have different meanings…

I don’t know that I will be up to posting tomorrow, but I will sure try!  I’ll be staying at Mom & Al’s casa in Sarasota for a few days.
